This little bowl uses what are called Pebbles, they are little balls of glass made by fusing squares.  They are set on a clear glass base and fused at a low temperature.  This should be more expensive than this as uniform pebbles like this are quite expensive, but I don't like the way the pebbles are not uniform around the edge, though my friends do!
